Memorable Sneaker Moments

From athletes and gangbangers to a loveable cinematic simpleton, the Nike Cortez has seen its fair share of history. Farrah Fawcett rocked a pair during a 1976 Charlie's Angels episode, but Jenny gifting Forrest Gump with a pair of Nike's earliest runners were this sneaker's defining moment. Forest said that these were "the best gift anyone could ever get me in the whole world." The filmmakers even made an effort to get the 1976 packaging correct. That white, blue, and red colorway is frequently referred to as the Forrest Gump.
